Overview

My Power is a Nepal-based electronics accessories brand selling powerbanks, earbuds and other mobile accessories, at both premium and affordable price points. The business needed to serve two audiences at once: everyday shoppers buying online, and trade customers ordering in volume.

Between March and October 2025 I worked as a contract full-stack developer and built the three connected products that serve them, all drawing on one catalogue.

The brief

  • Sell directly to shoppers with a fast, mobile-first online store.
  • Give retailers and trade buyers their own ordering experience, with prices and rules different from the public shop.
  • Accept online payments with a gateway people in Nepal use.
  • Put ordering in the hands of trade customers on their phones.
  • Make product launches (such as a new 65W powerbank) easy to promote.

What I built

1. A Laravel B2B portal

A separate portal for trade customers with role-based access, product management and order processing. Staff manage products and review orders; trade customers see the catalogue and place orders suited to bulk buying. Role-based access means each type of user sees only what they should.

2. A Next.js B2C storefront

A conversion-focused online store for consumers:

  • A hero carousel for launches and offers, for example the Super 65C (30,000mAh, 65W) with launch pricing and an introductory discount.
  • Featured products and category browsing for powerbanks and other accessories.
  • Search, wishlist, cart and customer accounts.
  • A mobile-first layout and a conversion-optimised checkout.
  • Prices in Nepali rupees, with MRP, discount and launch-offer labels.

3. Khalti payments

The store is integrated with the Khalti payment gateway, so shoppers can pay online at checkout.

4. An Android ordering app for B2B

Trade customers can order from their phones through an Android app built with Capacitor alongside Next.js. Because Capacitor wraps the web code, one codebase serves the browser and the app, which keeps features consistent and development fast.

Client feedback

"Startuplair built our eCommerce website exactly how we envisioned it: fast, user-friendly, and optimized for conversions. The entire process was smooth and professional." Manoj Aggarwal, MyPower.

What to look for on the live site

  • The yellow navigation bar, category search and wishlist and cart counters in the header.
  • The product launch hero with clear pricing and a call to action.
  • The "Featured Product" section and how each product card shows category, image and price.

What I took from it

Building the portal, the shop and the app against one catalogue showed me how much simpler the whole system gets when product data, pricing rules and order logic live in one place, behind one API.
